spring cleaning goals
The ground may be covered in several inches of snow topped with a treacherous layer of ice, while the wind whips around making us feel like the temperature is in the teens. But it was 70 degrees last week, and I'm mentally ready for spring. And what better way to urge a seasonal transition than to get into spring cleaning mode.
Apparently I'm not the only one ready for winter to take off and spring to arrive, as Houzz delivered this to my inbox today: 10 Decluttering Projects You Can Do in 15 Minutes or Less.
Realistically, I'm not doing all of these. But I can publicly commit to trying out (and reporting back) on the following projects (some from Houzz, some from other sources, some from my lengthy and growing to do list):
- Organize the tupperware
- Clean out the fridge
- Beautify the sock drawer
- Create shoe storage system by the entry door
- Donate old/unworn clothes
- Reorganize the closet and drawers
- Improve arrangement of linen closet
Depending how long this winter weather sticks around, that should be plenty to keep me busy. Wish me luck, and let me know what other spring cleaning projects I should take on!
